In a real life, one-on-one conversation, when people are talking to each other, along with the words they’re saying, they’re also offering behavior and nonverbal cues — heads nodding, hands fidgeting, checking watches or phones, smiling or laughing — and savvy communicators are able to read those behaviors and adjust their messages back in real time.
Data-driven digital strategies operate in a very similar way. What content do users click on? What are they sharing? What other channels do they spend time on? Those audience data points inform and optimize digital content.
